The Power of Leading Yourself (Before You Lead Anyone Else)

There’s something powerful that happens when women gather...not to impress, not to perform...but to be honest about where they actually are.

Recently inside our On Purpose community, we didn’t just “talk about leadership.”
We practiced it.

Because leadership, at its core, isn’t about titles.
It’s about decisions.
It’s about action.
It’s about choosing who you are becoming… & moving toward her on purpose.

& what unfolded in that space was a reminder of something simple...but not always easy:

Leading yourself requires courage in the small moments.

🌱 Leadership Doesn’t Always Look Loud

It looked like someone making a phone call they had been avoiding for years.
A quiet, personal decision to ask for support.

It looked like someone slowing down long enough to actually listen to themselves… even when what they heard was uncomfortable.

It looked like someone recognizing they’ve been giving everything to everyone else… & beginning to reclaim energy for themselves.

These aren’t flashy leadership moments.
But they are foundational.

Because every single one of those moments is a decision.
& every decision shapes who you become.

🔥 Passion Isn’t Always Force...It’s Energy

One of the most powerful realizations in the conversation was this:

What energizes you is often pointing you toward what matters.

Not everything that matters feels easy.
But there is a difference between something that drains you… & something that stretches you.

We explored the nuance between:

• forcing something to work
• & allowing what’s aligned to naturally create energy

& the truth?
Sometimes the most aligned things still require effort, preparation, & perseverance.

But when you reflect honestly, you can find the difference.

That’s where clarity lives.
